About us

Devrek Vocational School, affiliated with Zonguldak Bülent Ecevit University, was established in accordance with Article 7/d-2 of Law No. 2547, as amended by Law No. 2880, on 02. 11.2001, and commenced academic education at the associate degree level in the 2002-2003 academic year with the Accounting and Office Management and Secretarial Programs in the Çaycuma Vocational School building. In the 2003-2004 academic year, it moved to its current building in Devrek and continues to carry out its educational activities in the same building.

Our Vocational School has three computer laboratories, each with 40 computers, a culinary arts programme application kitchen, a cane workshop, a theatre workshop, basketball, volleyball and tennis courts, table tennis tables, a modern 300-person student and staff dining hall, and a canteen. Within the campus area, there is a multi-purpose indoor sports hall with a closed area of 1,900 m², a floodlit football pitch, and a conference hall with a capacity of 150 people. Our total closed area is 11,900 m². All these facilities have been designed for the comfort of our students and have been created to make university life meaningful and add value to their future lives.

The educational activities within our college are carried out within the scope of 9 departments and 11 active programmes affiliated with these departments. With the knowledge base of our academic staff, strong educational infrastructure, and emphasis on professional practice, we continue to provide our students with a contemporary education and train them to become qualified individuals needed in the sector.

Our college has achieved significant success in its efforts to ensure full access to education and training activities for individuals with disabilities. In this context, it was awarded the Orange Flag (Accessibility in Space) in 2022 and the Green Flag (Accessibility in Education) in 2023 by the Higher Education Council as part of the Accessible University Awards. Additionally, our College has been nominated in the Accessibility to Socio-Cultural Activities (Blue Flag) category within the framework of the 2024 Accessible University Awards.
Our College continues its efforts with determination to ensure equal access to educational and social life opportunities for all individuals with disabilities.
